Expand your skills while building a beautiful heirloom rocking chair. The project will emphasize mortise and tenon joinery throughout for uncompromising strength. Additional tools and techniques will include bandsaw for graceful curves, template routing for identical parts, and an introduction to bent lamination. The course will require students to commit to BOTH spring and fall terms in order to complete this project.

There will be a materials fee payable to the instructor to cover the cost of wood.

***As a special bonus, we will collaborate for one session
with the PAAS Upholstery instructor to build your own seat.***

NOTE: Due to the complexity of the project, students CANNOT miss more than one class.
Instructor permission required. Please email instructors prior to enrolling.
