Fall 2022 Term Dates

SESSION #1: August 22 to October 14, 2022

SESSION #2: October 17 to December 16, 2022

(No classes September 5, November 11, & November 21-25, 2022)

The Palo Alto Adult School ESL program offers many classes to help you meet your English learning goals. To enter our free classes, new students must register for a placement test. There is no childcare for the test or the classes. To register for the placement test, come in to the ESL office at Cubberley Community Center, 4000 Middlefield Road, I-Building, 2nd floor, or the Palo Alto High School Adult School office at 50 Embarcadero Road. Or, you can register online at paadultschool.org.

**Students who are not registered to take the placement test will not be allowed to take the test.**

ENROLLMENT POLICIES

• Students must be able to attend the full 8 weeks.
• Students will be required to buy a textbook for the class.
• There is no childcare.

**When your registration is completed, you will select one of the test dates shown below.**

PLACEMENT TESTING

All adult school students who are taking a placement test, and those attending in-person classes must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and are required to show proof of complete vaccination.

Students are strongly encouraged to wear a mask at all times during testing, in class, and on campus.

ESL PLACEMENT TEST AND REGISTRATION New students must take a placement test (see dates below). Click here for ESL Placement Testing & Registration. You must bring your identification and proof of vaccination with you on test day. Some class sessions are online and meet with teachers via Zoom. Students need to download and learn Zoom at https://zoom.us/. All placement testing is in-person.

3 levels: Mixed beginning; mixed intermediate; advanced

EVENING CLASSES (6:30–9:30 p.m.)
