Santa Clara Valley Audubon lists over 350 birds that have been seen in the valley. About 200 of the more common of these are the birds we will introduce in these classes. Audubon also rate the rarity of these birds from “1” as common to “6” as almost never seen. The first four categories number about 200 birds.

The birds will be introduced with illustrations and based upon which habitat they usually frequent, from the Baylands (2 classes) to the City and Open Spaces. The last class of the five will be about the more difficult birds to find. Information on where and when to find each bird will also be discussed.
