Michelle Greenebaum, owner of Together In The Kitchen, is a Nutrition Consultant and Healthy Cooking Instructor. In her popular hands-on cooking classes, Michelle teaches adults, teens, and children how to prepare delicious and easy healthy meals and snacks. As a Nutrition Consultant, Michelle works with clients offering programs such as “Grocery Store Shopping, Label Reading, and Pantry Makeover”, “Healthy Cooking and Meal Planning for Busy Families”, “Cutting Out The Sugar” and “The Picky Eater Challenge: Helping Kids Try New Foods”. She teaches at Stanford University, Sur La Table, Menlo Circus Club, JCC, as well as many corporations and private homes throughout the Bay Area.

Her culinary journey began with the Easy-Bake Oven (yes, back when they were powered by an incandescent light bulb). For Michelle, there was something magical about stirring water into the cake mix, pushing the pan into the “oven” and watching it come out the other end, cooked. She moved on to preparing dinners for her mom, dad, and younger brother Adam. The best was her proudly created “backward dinner” that began with hot fudge sundaes and ended with a salad!

Michelle has degrees from UC San Diego in Physiology, Exercise Science and Education – and was on the swim team at UC San Diego as an All American and Team Captain. She created Together In The Kitchen after a decade long marketing career at Apple, Yahoo and Microsoft. Before that she was a Health Coach and ACSM-Certified Personal Trainer helping hundreds of clients lose weight, get strong and see improvements with cardiovascular disease, metabolic conditions and cancer diagnoses.

Michelle loves connecting with people and teaching them that it is possible to create simple meals that are easy to prepare and delicious. She understands the challenges of incorporating more home cooked dinners into a busy week. She gets the pressure of getting a healthy dinner on the table, in and around after-school activities. And as a mom, she knows how anxious it can be to figure out what nutritious foods to feed your kids and then to get them to actually eat it!

After living in Los Angeles, San Diego, Paris, Taos, and Seattle, she now lives in the Bay Area with her husband and their six-year-old daughter. They love to hike, swim, have spontaneous dance parties, go to the farmer’s market, and invite lots and lots of friends and family over for home cooked meals as often as possible.
