NATURE SCIENCE HIKES

Join some of Environmental Volunteers most knowledgeable nature-science educators on three explorations of local open spaces throughout the fall season. Each two-hour hike will be at a different location, with a different trained guide, and each will focus on learning about a different environmental topic. The pace of the hikes will be easy, with semi-frequent stops to discuss subjects. Distance traveled may vary but expect between 1 – 3 miles. Limit 12 students.

The locations & topics:

  • September 20: Stevens Creek County Park (Climate Change)
  • October 11: Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve (Wetlands Ecology)
  • November 1: Windy Hill Open Space Preserve (Biodiversity/Foothills Ecology)

NOTE: Rain doesn’t necessarily cancel these hikes! Your scheduled guide will discuss options if necessary.
