WOODWORKING 2: BUILD A SOFA TABLE

This two-legged table utilizes dovetail joinery for strength and beauty. Highly functional and elegantly simple, the project gives you an opportunity to learn the basics of making furniture while utilizing the dovetail joint, a hallmark of fine woodworking. An emphasis on proper technique for safety, along with discussion of wood and joinery choices, will lay the foundation for successful woodworking. You will provide your own wood; storage for your project is available. Tools covered will include: radial arm saw, table saw, jointer, planer, router, band saw and sanders. There will be a materials fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
