This class is for students who want to improve their English skills while becoming familiar with many interesting aspects of US history and culture. American culture and history have been shaped by immigration from cultures all over the world. We address why Americans think and behave the way they do and the foundation for some of their attitudes and values such as the importance of competition and hard work.

Reading, vocabulary improvement, pronunciation, language usage, and a greater understanding of American culture and history are incorporated into each class.

Required textbook can be purchased in the Adult School office.
