In this class you will sharpen your woodworking skills, and likely learn some new ones, in building a sturdy kitchen work center, about 2’ x 3’ x 36”, with a butcher-block top. Among the skills utilized in this class are stopped router cuts; joinery using locking miters; installing gliders; tapering using a jointer; cutting grooves. There will be a materials fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting.
This project requires about 60bf of wood, plus some specialized hardware. The cost will be about $400 payable to the instructor on the first day of class. The exact amount will depend on the cost of wood in December, and what species of wood you’d like to use.
