Woodworking / WOODWORKING 2: CRAFTSMAN MANTEL CLOCK

WOODWORKING 2: CRAFTSMAN MANTEL CLOCK

Expand your woodworking and shop safety skillset while building a Craftsman style mantel clock. Review safe use of shop machines and learn new tools and techniques. The clock is approximately 13” tall and 10” wide with a battery-operated mechanism. Students will have the opportunity to select their own decorative tile or image. There will be a materials fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class. After preparing your stock and cutting to size, you will cut dados on the table saw or router table, layout and cut mortise and tenon joints, and create curved edges with the bandsaw and spindle sander. Missing either of the first two class sessions is particularly discouraged.
