Translating between languages not only enhances students’ communication skills, it’s also a fun way to learn about cultural differences! This class is for dedicated students who plan to use the language long term.
Translation exercises will be given, finished and discussed in class. Content will come from movies, advertisements, fiction, newspapers, etc. You will explore how an idea can be conveyed in different ways in a different language!
Weekly homework assigned.

Prerequisite: 1+ years of Chinese study with knowledge of its phonetics and basic grammar
