The Palo Alto Adult School ESL program offers many classes to help you meet your English learning goals. We offer a range of English classes from Literacy to Advanced levels at no charge. To enter our FREE classes, new students must register for a placement test. Fall 2026 placement test registration take place Mon, Aug 3, 2026 at 5 p.m. at our Greendell campus. Please check this website, or call (650) 494-2326 for the exact address. Test registration is in-person only—no phone or online registration. Register early—space is very limited. The need for citizenship classes was one of the fundamental reasons for the original establishment of adult schools. Palo Alto Adult School continues to offer this program as community members seek citizenship and voting rights. Our Citizenship class will return in fall 2026.
