FRENCH: ADVANCED GRAMMAR AND COMMUNICATION

This class is aimed at students who can express themselves in French fairly fluidly and want to move towards more ease and complexity. Supports: textbook, DVD, oral and written documents on contemporary society. Weekly assignments. Some of the grammar topics covered in this class: if clauses; subjunctive; indirect speech.

This class is aimed at advanced students who have more or less completed level B1 (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Common European_Framework_of_Reference_for_Languages). If you reached that level at some point in the past and want to pick up French again, this is the course for you. Come to class with the required textbook. Note that you will need to study on your own for a couple of hours each week in order to keep up with the material. Some work will be done using the DVD that comes with the book (needs a DVD player).

Required Textbook can be purchased in the Adult School office. Bring required textbook (Tendances – Niveau B2) to first class.
