Hawaiian Lei Making with Carly Kajiwara
The class will feature a brief presentation covering Hawaiian history, language, and culture by a Native Hawaiian instructor. Afterwards, students will try their hand at lei-making. The rest of the workshop will be dedicated to lei-making collaboration, learning, and community. Students will leave the workshop with knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and language, a sense of community, a beautiful finished lei to keep or gift, and a new skill to practice and share in the future. Mahalo nui!
