/ MAKING PASTE PAPERS

MAKING PASTE PAPERS

Create beautiful patterns on mixed media paper. Learn techniques for making traditional and modern patterns. The translucent quality of the paste allows for the process to be repeated many times on the same paper to achieve multiple layers of color and rich 3-dimensional patterns. Book-binders of old and of late mix their leftover paste with pigment to make beautiful patterned papers. Traditionally used as endpapers in books, today paste paper is used in a variety of paper crafts, including collage, mixed media and book making.

There is a $20.00 materials fee payable to the instructor.
