PIANO: BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE

Learn to play music in a fun environment! You will learn to play on the provided keyboards. Instruction includes basic notes, rhythm, theory and finger exercises as well as chords and scales. You will need a keyboard at home to practice—or you can rent a keyboard. Every term we will study a classical composer’s biography and simple music by that composer, as well as listening to a recording. Limit 9 students.

Textbook: Adult All-In-One Course: Lesson-Theory-Technic: Level 1 Fundamentals of Piano Theory-Preparatory Level Bring book to first class (or purchase from teacher that same night).

No perfumes or scented hair products of any kind in class
due to the instructor’s allergies.

I had taken piano lessons many years ago and wanted to return to playing. The Adult School Piano class emphasized the fundamentals and building skills step by step. I enjoyed every step. I also appreciated Kathy’s love of music and willingness to help every student at their individual level.
