PRESENTATIONS 2020 (**NEW**)

You will learn to give creative, effective oral presentations you can use in the classroom, workplace or any other venue. You will work with supportive peers and the instructor, to prepare presentations for the following week. Classwork will include models of good presentations, ideas and strategies for effectiveness: handling speech anxiety, solid speech objectives, planning, media types, and delivery styles, appropriate speech skills. Still not sure you want to try it? Come the first night and see how you feel. Your confidence will no doubt improve in our relaxed friendly environment. TRUST ME – YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS CLASS!

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT
This class will help you improve your oral presentations skills IF you attend regularly and make a good effort to do the TWO presentation assignments. Every effort should be made to attend all four sessions, as they build on each other.

PRESENTATIONS
You will be asked to make very short simple presentations on an easy topic. Remember: the more you put into the class, the more you will get out of it!

MATERIALS
You should bring notebooks and pencils/pens to class. You can also work from a computer or iPad. Having a translator or dictionary on your cell phone or iPad may be helpful as well.
