This class is for beginners and experienced artists wanting to sharpen their drawing and observation skills. Still life objects, seascape or landscape photos will be our inspiration. You should have a pencil, white paper, eraser and a copy of the supply list for the first class.

Week 5-6 Pen and watercolor landscape or seascape painting (from a photo)

4 BlkE 1 black ink Uniball fine point rollerball pen
5 Blk 9” x 12” to 11” x 14” drawing pad
8″ x 10″ sketch pad or scratch paper
5 Blk 1/4″ wide round watercolor brush or water brush pen
5 Blk 1/2″ wide flat synthetic watercolor brush (optional)
9-10c student grade (or better) watercolor paint: black, yellow ocher, burnt sienna, red, yellow, blue
5Blk white ceramic pallet (or dish)
3 Blk container to carry supplies (optional)

back portfolio to store art (optional
window (top drawer) 1 sheet glassine paper to separate drawings in your portfolio

Home large plastic container to hold water (for watercolor painting)
Optional Items plumb line, pilot SCA-UF black pen to label supplies, Ziplock snack bags, 4”x6” mirror, 18″ x 24″ Masonite panel (or larger drawing board), #4 bulldog clips, 50 sheets of newsprint (“blanket”), camera, eraser shield, Tombow “Monozero” eraser, pastel pencils, HP watercolor board or illustration board, woodless graphite pencil B hardness
