MORE INFO

Come and learn how to combine sharp metal tools with spinning wood on the lathe to create a mess of wood shavings and a few practical projects! In this class, emphasis will be placed on developing proper tool technique and control with traditional tools through practice and repetition. Through a series of simple projects (options include: rolling pins, a mallet, cocktail muddlers, and bud vases), you will learn the basic fundamentals of woodturning and understanding wood grain orientation. We will have a lot of fun and make some wood shavings. Please note that you will also be responsible for cleaning up those wood shavings at the end of class. Face shields will be provided (you are also welcome to bring your own if you have one) and it is recommended you bring at least an N95 mask for sawdust.
