WOODTURNING: INTRODUCTION TO PENS

Come and turn a square block of wood into a beautiful (and round) pen! In a single session, we will introduce the basic concepts of the lathe, review important safety rules, and create front and back barrels to be assembled with the metal components of a pen kit. There will be a $20 materials fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting. You will leave the class with a fully finished pen, ready for gifting or signing important documents. Face shields will be provided (you are also welcome to bring your own if you have one) and it is recommended that you bring at least an N95 mask for sawdust. Limit 6 students.
