WOODTURNING: OPEN LATHE SHOP (Spring 2026)

For previous students wanting more time at the lathe to practice, repeat a past class project, and/or work on their own project(s) with some instructor supervision. Contact the instructor with your intended project(s) for approval prior to enrolling. There will be a $20 materials fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting. Include the tools you anticipate using and if you would like any woodturning blanks to be provided (price list available upon request). Any student-provided wood must be cleared by the instructor. Note that this class only includes access to the lathes and not the other machines in the shop. Face shields will be provided and it is recommended you bring at least an N95 mask for sawdust. There will be a materials fee of $20 plus any wood purchased. Limit 6 students.
