Alex Granieri

Hello! I’m a Bay Area native. I’m curious about most things and love to tinker. I went to Gunn HS myself back in the day, then studied mechanical engineering at Santa Clara University and Stanford. I have been fortunate enough to work on many exciting projects over the years, from the first prototype of the Tesla Model S, to the first Amazon Echos, to high altitude airplanes at Facebook, and self-driving cars at Lyft and Toyota. I love innovation and building new experiences that surprise and delight. In my free time, I am an avid bread baker, home brewer, and budding vegetable gardener. But the highlight of my week is by far teaching the introductory woodworking classes. I love the craft, the teaching, and most of all the students.
