Discover the magic of watercolor! Learn basic skills: color mixing, flat and graded washes, wet-into-wet, dry brush techniques combined with basic drawing concerns. Subjects include: still life and animal photos. Returning or advanced students may work on independent projects. Students will need a pencil, white paper, eraser and a copy of the supply list for the first class.

| Week 1 | Introductions, review supply list, paint a value scale. Homework: paint color wheel. |
| Week 2-3 | Review color wheels. Sketch out donut still life. Paint still life using an earth color pallet. |
| Week 4-5 | Watercolor animal painting (from a photo) |
| Week 6 | Bring a detailed object from home to paint. Paint and draw your own still life using a full color pallet and pen. |
