Mortise and tenon joinery is a hallmark of sturdy and strong furniture. This project pushes the mortise and tenon joinery further with a drawbore technique to keep joints solid and sound for years to come. Joinery methods will include bridal joints and through tenons. You will learn to use the bandsaw for curved pieces and template routing for making identical copies. We will partner with the upholstery class faculty to build your own cushioned seat that will float on top of the bench base we make.
